Generic Genre Research

For this project, we had to create a powerpoint regarding a film genre that we randomly picked and we had to include information about its conventions along with other elements. The genre my group was assigned is known as EPIC. We described the lighting, angles, sound, and common features relating to this genre. Some examples of films under this genre include Titanic, Avatar, and Forrest Gump. These movies typically have a long duration and a deep meaning behind them. We also had to talk about the elements that we liked and disliked. I mentioned how this genre typically has a spectacular setting that I enjoy and this therefore causes them to be the most expensive films to produce.
